President of Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture Balázs Győrffy held a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Budapest Gholamali Rajabi Yazdi on Thursday where the two sides discussed the many existing capacities and opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.
“Livestock and poultry are among the most important areas where there is the possibility of cooperation between Iran and Hungary,” Győrffy said, adding “furthermore, establishment of halal slaughterhouses in this country can also be another area for cooperation.”
The Iranian ambassador, for his part, noted the visit of two delegations from Iranian agriculture private sector to Hungary, deeming it a golden opportunity for increasing bilateral interactions and cooperation on agriculture.
He further called for planning for establishing links between the two countries’ active sectors on agricultural production.
