Mr. Zsolt Semjén made the remark in a meeting with Governor of Isfahan Teusday night, adding “the contract will be signed between the two countries’ high-ranking officials on Saturday April 8.”
“At present, Hungary is keen on expanding any kind of cooperation and relations with Iran in the political, economic and cultural fields,” he said. “We are also urging for Iran’s closer ties with the EU.”
He went on to add, “in the near future, managers of major Iranian and Hungarian banks will ink a number of MoUs to increase economic transactions between the two countries.”
“A contract on production of 600 buses with participation from both sides has been drafted and a Hungarian bank has undertaken the funding for the project which amounts to 85 million euros,” he said.
On Saturday April 8, the high-ranking Hungarian delegation will hold a joint meeting with President Rouhani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, he added.
Hungarian deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén and his accompanying delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday evening hosted by Deputy-President for Parliamentary Affairs Hosseinali Amiri.
