SNSC Supervisory Board to probe JCPOA violations

TEHRAN, Mar. 14 (MNA) – Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of Iran Alaeddin Boroujerdi stressed that SNSC Supervisory Board of JCPOA would decide whether the deal has been violated.

The public opinion expects the body to study the likelihood of violation of JCPOA, Alaeddin Boroujerdi told Mehr News.

Pointing to the violation of JCPOA by the US government in recent months, Boroujerdi said the Islamic Republic will take necessary measures to deal with the issue.

Iran signed the historical deal along with 6 countries, and if a country like the US violates the JCPOA, it is deviating from the right path all other six countries, including Iran, have taken.

US certainly is to blamed in this regard and is opposed by other countries, Boroujerdi noted.

He stressed that all consequences of US' violation of JCPOA will return to itself, therefore the problem requires a decision from the SNSC supervisory board .

In response to a question addressing the necessity to stop JCPOA implementation on Iranian side, based on Leader’s conditional command on the implementation of the deal, Boroujerdi said the responsibility to monitor the violations and stop its enactment rests on the shoulders of the SNSC supervisory Board of JCPOA, which has been established with the command and the viewpoints of the Leader of Islamic Revolution.

“The board will decide whether the deal has been violated, and this is what the public opinion expects the entity,” he noted.
