The 2016 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Final officially kicked off at the Tiro a Segno Nazionale shooting range, in Bologna of Italy on October 05 and will come to an end today.
Competing at men’s 10m Air Rifle division, Hossein Bagheri bagged 181.1 points to win a precious bronze medal at the tournament.
Peter Sidi of Hungary won the gold medal with 207.7 points while Russia’s Vladimir Maslennikov stood on the second podium having earned only 0.5 points less than the title-winner Sidi.
Previously, Elaheh Ahmadi had finished in the seventh place in the same category while Mahlegha Jamebozorg will face rivals at the finals of women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions today.
A total of 99 athletes coming from 34 countries are competing in 10 Olympic rifle and pistol shooting events. The best athletes of the season, selected through the 2016 ISSF World Cup Stages in Bangkok, Rio de Janeiro, Munich and Baku are meeting the title defenders and the Olympic medalists of Rio 2016, aiming at the ISSF World Cup Titles.
