Sebghatollahi ranks 5th in Asian Shooting C’ships

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – Iranian shooter Golnoush Sebghatollahi rose to the 5th rank in 10M Air Pistol Women in 2017 Asian Shooting Championships.

The 10th Asian Airgun Championships are held in Wako-Saitama, Japan from 6-12 December in men’s and women’s sections and in the juniors, youth and adults age groups.

Golnoush Sebghatollahi, the Iranian shooter that had advanced to the finals in 10M Air Pistol Women attained the 5th rank while shooters from Japan, Mongolia and India came 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Amitis Jafari was another Iranian shooter who failed to advance to the finals and ranked 9th.

The Iranian team was able to get the silver medal in the youth Air Rifle section while Amirsiavash Zolfaghari obtained an Olympic quota.

407 contenders from 27 Asian countries have participated in 2017 Asian Shooting Championships.
