Intl. community ‘glossing over’ Saudi crimes in Yemen

TEHRAN, Oct. 08 (MNA) – Foreign Ministry spokesperson says international community has failed to address Saudi airstrikes in Yemen.

Bahram Ghasemi who was speaking to the press on Saturday evening, criticized the callousness of the international community as mere onlookers facing an ongoing crisis in Yemen by one of the allies of the west and one which has been receiving arms now by which targeted Yemeni innocent civilians.

Ghasemi condemned targeting by Saudi air fighters of a mourning procession in Sanaa where dozens were killed and wounded; “this is an abominable act of crime which undermines the basic human rights to exist; during the 18 past months, killings and strikes on Yemen have been glossed over by an international community which preferred silence; for a solution for Yemeni crisis, absolute halt to Saudi air strikes is all but the necessity, and a process of national conciliation where Yemeni sides sit in a negotiation to decide on the country’s future,” he emphasized.
