Saudi rulers should be tried for war crimes

TEHRAN, Oct. 09 (MNA) – Defense Minister has called for trial and punishment of Saudi Arabian rulers on charges of war crimes in Yemen.

Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan told reporters on Sunday that in Yemen the Saudi regime ruled by a constellation of ‘supercilious and petty’ hypocrites, had been killing innocent civilians out of their capricious policies, a crime unpardonable and unjustifiable by any legal and conventional standards of ethics; “the fool-hardy of Saudis should not remain unanswered and the international community would have been dubbed accomplice in Saudi crimes for preferring silence,” Mr. Dehghan added.

“Saudi rulers should be tried in international courts in charges of war crimes in Yemen,” he emphasized.

Saudi-led coalition's airstrikes on Saturday targeted a funeral ceremony killing more that 140 and injuring more than 525 civilians.
