Iran rejects Israel’s claims against Resistance

TEHRAN, May 25 (MNA) – Head of Iranian delegation participating at the 7th intl. security conference in Grozny responded to the claims by head of Israeli delegation against the Resistance, particularly Hezbollah.

Reza Seifollahi, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, who was participating in the seventh international conference of high representative supervising security matters in Chechnya's capital Grozny, dismissed claims raised by the Israeli delegation at the conference against the Resistance Front, saying “Lebanon’s Hezbollah fights in defense of the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon against the state terrorism of the occupying Israeli regime.”

“Today, Hezbollah is an important part of the Lebanese people and has an official presence in government structures and supports the ideals and aspirations of the nation,” he added.

The Iranian delegation left the conference during the speech of the Israeli representative as a sign of protest against the aggressive policies of the regime.

Seifollahi, in his separate address at the conference stressed that fighting terrorism does not include a military solution, “because terrorism is an ideology unrelated to any religion, nation or race. It is not a unified organization that could be destroyed, rather it is a devilish ideology that is formed during instability and lack of government.”

He went on to add, “one must accept the fact that no one can decide for the people of a country in their stead. Military intervention may topple dictatorship but without a necessary mechanism insecurity will grow and this will not help with fighting terrorism at all.”

The two-day security conference kicked off in Chechnya's capital Grozny on Tuesday, bringing together Secretaries of national security councils, ministers, aides to presidents and prime ministers supervising regional and international security, and heads of intelligence services from more than 60 countries.
