The official website of the event reported that awards had been given to winners of the 34th FIFF:
According to the public Relations office of the 34th FIFF, the closing ceremony of the 34th Fajr was held in time in Vahdat Hall with the presence of Iranian cinema managers, cineastes, political figures, and national and international special guests.
The ceremony started in time with the presence of Hojatollah Ayoubi, Head of Iran Cinematic Organizaton, Reza Mirkarimi, director of the 34th FIFF, and Reza Kianian president of the festival palace. Majid Majidi Iranian Oscar nominated director is also seen among national guests of the ceremony.
The director of the ceremony was Mohammad Parvizi, with Mahsa Malek Marzban hosting the festival for 75 minutes. The closing ceremony was supposed to have any official speech. Two 10-min music performances and dedicating awards are the other parts of the ceremony.
Reza Mirkarimi president of the festival gave a short speech; “Taghvaei and Kiarostami should have been here with us now, and we hope that next year we have them here with us. I am glad that the festival organized very well and this is time to say goodbye. But regarding my responsibility, I should say hello to the 35th.” Mirkarimi also added, “I beg your pardon for shortcomings, and here I promise that next year we will have a more brilliant ceremony. I want to say congratulations to the winners.”
In 34th FIFF, 150 international guests from 20 countries attended the festival and watched films during the six days of the event. They also participated in different sections.
Festival guests were from Italy, Croatia, Australia, Canada Georgia, Russia, Japan, France, Korea, Spain, Iraq, Colombia, India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Emirates, Syria, and Tunisia. 11-15 of them were film directors. Also 100 students of Darolfonoun High School from 9 countries attended in this section.

The 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival was held from April 20th to April 25th, 2016 in Charsou Cineplex, under the supervision of the well-known Iranian filmmaker, Mr. Reza Mirkarimi, who is also the Managing Director of Khaneh Cinema.
