On the basis of a document inked between Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and the French engineering giant Fives Group on Friday, Fives agreed to establish an aluminum production plant in Iran through the framework of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Financing (EPCF).
Accordingly, Iran’s production of aluminum anodes will rise by 450,000 tons per year with the cooperation of Fives and IMIDRO on constructing a joint factory.
It has been estimated that the implementation of the project will demand 400 million dollars of investment since 25 to 30 per cent of an aluminum plant is devoted to anode production.
Fives, an industrial engineering group, designs and supplies machines, process equipment and production lines for the world’s largest industrial groups including the aluminum, steel, glass, automotive, aerospace, logistics, cement and energy sectors.
Fives had signed a basic agreement over the same project with IMIDRO in Tehran last November providing the ground for the finalization of the deal during the visit to Paris by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani.
