Army launches final phase of drill

TORBAT-E-JAM, Nov. 19 (MNA) – Iranian Army’s Ground Forces staged the last phase of the drill dubbed Muhammad Rasulullah 3 on Wednesday.      

The third day of the ongoing war game dubbed Muhammad Rasulullah 3 in the country’s eastern city of Torbat-e-Jam in Khorasan Razavi Province was the time to launch the last phase of the drill, according to correspondents of Mehr News Agency.

Many military units participated in the last part among them Infantry Unit 177, Armed Battalion 38, forces under the command of Zafar HQs and Velayat HQs, artillery units, Mashhad base helicopters of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation (IRIAA), electronic warfare drones, and jet fighters of Iran’s Air Forces.  

The first unit to inaugurate the last stage was the drones which flying over the region conducted surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

Following the reconnaissance phase, the rapid reaction units conducted an immediate operation based on the photos and information provided by the drones.  

Many domesticated weapons were also test-fired during the exercise out of which Baher and Shaher were two anti-helicopter missile successfully used.

Yaseer drone was another internally engineered and manufactured accomplishment of the Iranian armed forces which was successfully tested in the drill.

The medical support units erected a field hospital in the region with operation room, dentistry ward, and emergency unit which offered free service to the people of the neighboring cities during the performance of the maneuver.

The war game, codenamed “Muhammad Rasulullah 3,” was divided into phases and the operational phase of it, started on Monday, lasted for three days with each day following a separate agenda; the second day of the maneuver focused on exercises concerning pre-determined targets.
