High-level Chinese delegation to visit Iran

TEHRAN, July 12 (MNA) – A high-level Chinese delegation, headed by a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is scheduled to travel to Iran in the near future to explore ways of enhancing bilateral ties, IRNA reported on Tuesday.

The head of the delegation, He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, will meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijnai, and some other senior Iranian officials.

Li Changchun, another senior official of the CPC, the party in power in China, paid a visit to Tehran in September 2010 and met with Iranian officials.
