Tel Aviv reacts to IRGC seizure of Israeli ship in PG

TEHRAN, Apr. 13 (MNA) – In reaction to the seizure of an Israeli-linked cargo ship by IRGC Navy in the Persian Gulf Saturday, Tel Aviv regime claimed that Iran will suffer the "consequences" of escalating the conflict in the region.

The Israeli military ignored the war-mongering of this regime in the region, the escalation of tension, and brutal aggression against the people of the Gaza Strip, and said in a statement after the seizure of one of its ships in the Persian Gulf by the Iranian IRGC Navy that Iran will suffer the "consequences" of escalating the conflict in the region.

The Zionist military also claimed that Israel is on high alert, adding that they have increased their readiness to protect Israel from further aggression.

The statement came after Iran announced that the Sepah(IRGC) Navy Special Force (SNSF) seized the Israeli-linked ship in a heliborne operation near the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.

The ship has now been directed towards the territorial waters of Iran.

Reports suggest that the ship, named MSC Aries, was Portuguese-flagged and related to a London-based company owned by an Israeli billionaire.
