Iran urges Islamic countries to boycott Israeli regime

TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called on the Islamic countries to completely boycott the Israeli regime as soon as possible.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with the OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha on the sidelines of the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday.

Condemning the Israeli regime's crimes against Palestinians, the Iranian foreign minister urged Islamic states, that had established relations with the regime, to expel the Zionist envoys.

He also called for paying attention to the legal pursuit of Zionist war criminals and their supporters in the upcoming OIC meeting.

Hissein Brahim Taha, for his part, hailed Iran's position regarding the issue of Palestine and stressed the need for Islamic nations to be united against the Israeli regime's crimes.

Amir-Abdollahian also met and held talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah on the sidelines of the meeting.

During the meeting, the top Iranian diplomat hailed Kuwait's support for Palestine and called for the ending of the Israeli regime's attack on the Gaza Strip.

Amir-Abdollahian added that the continuation of the ongoing genocide by the Zionist apartheid regime in Gaza will cause the situation of the region to go out of control.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister, for his part, stressed the need to end the war and start dispatching humanitarian aid to Gaza immediately.

In a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart, Amir-Abdollahian once again urged preventing the continuation of the Zionist regime's war crimes against the people of Palestine.

The Indonesian foreign minister, for her part, said that it is necessary to avoid worsening the situation. She added that her country condemns the Israeli regime's attack on the Gazan hospital.

In a meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, the Iranian foreign minister stressed the need to stop the Israeli regime's crimes in Gaza.

Al-Muraikhi, for his part, stressed that the West's support for the Israeli regime is not just political support, but is also a green light for the continuation of the regime's crimes.

On the second day of the Zionist regime's attacks, Iran requested the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold an urgent meeting with the foreign ministers of the member states, he said.

Speaking to the reporters in Saudi Arabia earlier on Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian said that during the consultation with the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, they agreed to issue a strong final resolution by the participating members to witness a global collective action to stop the crime against humanity, genocide, and massacre that the fake and child-killing regime has launched.
