Exports from Sumar border up $362 million in 6 months

TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) – Over $362.36 million worth of goods were exported from the Sumar Border Terminal in Kermanshah Province’s Qasr-e Shirin County during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sep. 22), a local official says.

According to Omid Borji, a total of $362,364,541 worth of goods were exported from the Sumar Border Terminal in Qasr-e Shirin County, registering a 27% and 35% growth in tonnage and value, respectively, compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The exports mainly included ribbed rebar, tiles, dairy products, eggs, construction stones, and empty cartons.

Qasr-e Shirin in the western Kermanshah province shares around 186 kilometers of borders with Iraq. Its border crossings connect the country to the Kurdistan region and Iraq’s Central Government respectively.

Sumar shares 86 kilometers of borders with Iraq.
