Conference on Trade, Venture Investment Among Islamic Countries Opens in Tehran

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – The Tenth Private Sector Meeting for the Promotion of Trade and Joint Venture Investment Among Islamic Countries opens here today at the Summit Hall.

 

The two-day conference is being sponsored by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), which is affiliated the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Mines (ICCIM). It will be conducted in Arabic with simultaneous interpretation in Persian, English, and French.

 

The working sessions will be held at Hotel Laleh.

 

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group is also participating in the event with aim of supporting the private sector in member countries.

 

The IDB Group consists of six windows for financing: the Islamic Development Bank (parent institution), the IDB Unit Investment Fund, the Islamic Banks’ Portfolio for Investment, the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit, the IDB Infrastructure Fund, and the Islamic Corporation for Development of the Private Sector.
