Iran FM condoles demise of Belarusian counterpart

TEHRAN, Nov. 26 (MNA) – Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian offered condolences to Belarus over the death of the late Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Eurasian country.

"I was deeply saddened after I heard the news of the sudden death of Mr. Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus," the top Iranian diplomat said in his message on Saturday afternoon.

"The sincere efforts of the deceased during his tenure played a valuable role in expanding the relations between Iran and Belarus, and his fruitful trip to Tehran not long ago was also in this direction," Amir-Abdollahian added.
