Islamic teachings key to solving contemporary problems

TEHRAN, Oct. 19 (MNA) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi on Wednesday described Islamic teachings as a key to solving contemporary problems.

In a message to the opening ceremony of the First International Congress on Strategies for Spreading Ghadir Culture and Promoting Nahjul Balagha in the World, Raeisi underlined the role of Islamic teachings as well as Ghadir culture.

Today, people in the world are thirsty for the unique asset of Islamic knowledge, he pointed out.

He termed congress as a movement for raising awareness in the global arena.

The event is an opportunity for delving into ‘the ocean of Nahjul Balagha’, he noted.

The congress is a chance for pondering the mystical, philosophical, ethical, educational, social, military, and cultural dimensions of Nahjul Balagha, he further noted.

Elsewhere in his remarks, President Raeisi underlined that today, human beings, after centuries of neglecting God plus the existence of widespread crimes against humanity in the contemporary era, desperately need the rich culture of Ghadir and Nahjul Balagha.

At the end of his message, President Raeisi praised the efforts of scholars and great thinkers of the Islamic world who attended this international congress.

The First International Congress on Strategies for Spreading Ghadir Culture and Promoting Nahjul Balagha in the World started in Sari, Mazandaran Province.

Some 30 scholars from various countries participated in the congress.

Out of 302 papers delivered to the secretariat of the congress, the abstracts of 167 works have been chosen.
