NATO seeking to strengthen eastern flank

TEHRAN, Mar. 24 (MNA) – NATO will likely decide on Thursday to ramp up military forces on its eastern flank, the head of the alliance said, while also warning Russia against using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

US President Biden has told North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) leaders that he agreed with strengthening NATO on Eastern flank. The US official said 100,000 troops are ready to be stationed in Europe if needed, Reuters quoted a senior US official as saying.

French news agency also quoted a US official as saying that Washington and its allies are consulting on sending anti-ship missiles to Ukraine.
