An explosive package exploded en route of a convoy carrying US logistics equipment in Al-Diwaniyah province, southern Iraq, Shafagh News reported.
According to the report, the convoy consisted of trucks carrying logistics equipment to US terrorist forces in southern Iraq.
Iraqi sources had reported attack on several US convoys in various parts of Iraq over the previous days.
During the week, a large number of shipments required by American forces and also light arms enter Iraq through trucks and as a result of cooperation of Iraqi companies through "Jarishan" border in Kuwait, a border crossing that Iraqi government has not any control on it.
Following the criminal act of the US terrorist forces in assassination of former Iraq’s IRGC Quds Forces Commander Lt. Gen. Soleimani and Iraq’s Second-in-Command of Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Sha’abi, Iraqi Parliament approved the plan of expulsion of US terrorist forces from Iraq in Jan. 2020 but the United States insists on presence of its troops on Iraqi soil.
