Iran's SNSC to hold emergency meeting over martyrdom of Gen. Soleimani

TEHRAN, Jan. 03 (MNA) – Iran's Supreme National Security Council will hold an emergency meeting in the coming hours to address Friday’s US attack in Baghdad which led to General Soleimani’s martyrdom, said the council’s spokesman.

Keyvan Khosravi offered condolences over the martyrdom of the IRGC Quds Force commander, noting that the council will address the US ‘criminal’ attack.

Pentagon confirmed that the assassination has been authorized by the US President Donald Trump.

General Soleimani was a key figure in the fight against terrorism in Syria and Iraq.
