While congratulating the National Day of Export (Oct. 21), he said that this prestigious Conference will be held in the presence of senior and high-ranking officials of the country as well as CEOs of economic enterprises to study problems and clarify the perspective of Iran’s nonoil exports.
Every year, Tabriz Chamber of Commerce organizes training sessions for more familiarity of traders, merchants and businesspersons with imports and exports rules and regulations, he said, adding, “East Azarbaijan province is the hub of producing confections, sweets, chocolates, quality leathers and footwear in the country in a way that these products account for major export share of this province.”
He pointed to the long history of trade and business in Tabriz and said, “organizing National Nonoil Export Promotion Conference in Tabriz indicates that this province has a special place in country’s foreign trade.”
Last year (ended March 20, 2018), $2.4 billion worth of products were exported from East Azarbaijan province to other countries, he said, adding, “with the studies made in this regard, it is estimated that $3 billion worth of products will be exported from this province to foreign countries.”
