‘Redhead’ to have intl. premiere at German filmfest.

TEHRAN, Oct. 28 (MNA) – Iranian drama ‘Redhead’ directed by Karim Lakzadeh will have its first international screening in the main completion section of 66th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg in Germany.

The 'Redhead' in the title is Farhad, with a family tragedy lurking around him and gaining atmospheric shape on the drive to their parents’ house as they learn their uncle has put a claim on the house despite their father’s will that has bequeathed it to his own children. An argument leads to more tragedic incidents and soon cursed visions start to appear in Farhad’s life.

The International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg as a ‘Newcomer Festival’ is specialized in discovering new talented arthouse directors and renowned for its top-flight selection, limited to about 50 films screening.

The 66th edition of the festival will be held on 9-10 November, 2017, in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany.
