Four Iranian films to vie at TIFF Kids Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – Iran will represent four films at TIFF Kids International Film Festival.

According to Farabi Cinema Foundation’s public relations department, A Hell of a Wedding, Calila e Dimna, Houra and Soyuq will be screened at Canada Kids Film Festival. All four titles have previously won several international awards from different festivals.

A Hell of a Wedding directed by Reza Khatibi has won two awards from 3D film festivals in South Korea and Belgium; Calila e Dimna by Alireza Tavakkolibina has received the special jury award in Eurasia festival; Gholamreza Sagharchian’s Houra has scooped NETPAC from India’s All Lights Film Festival and Soyuq directed by Ark brothers has won three awards from festivals in Shanghai, Tamil Nadu and Spain’s Casa Asia Film Festival.

Narges Abyar’s Feature Film Breath will also be screened in this event. Breath has been introduced to Academy Awards as Iran’s representative for Foreign Language Film category.

In 2017, the TIFF Kids International Film Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary as one of the world’s most important cinematic events for film lovers aged 3 to 13. TIFF Kids has helped inspire and empower tens of thousands of children through the discovery of filmmaking and animation.
