Terrorism 'a global issue, progressed due to backstage aids'

TEHRAN, Jun. 27 (MNA) – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said terrorism has become a global issue and has progressed, partly due to backstage aids.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamace, on the sidelines of 2nd Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments in Seoul.

Iran and the Czech enjoy from historical ties and the Iranian nation look positively to cooperation with the European country, he said, adding there have been collaborations in the field of tractor engineering between the two countries in the past and Iran is willing to cooperate with the Czech Republic in the field of energy investment after the nuclear deal was signed in 2015.

Unfortunately, Larijani noted, terrorism has become a global problem and has progressed, partly due to behind-the-scenes aids; the Islamic Republic of Iran has good experiences in combating terrorism, especially in Iraq and Syria.

Jan Hamace, for his part, condemned recent terrorist attacks in Tehran, and said “I invite you to travel to the Czech Republic because this trip can be a turning point in the further development of Iran-Czech relations.”

He underlined that trade relations between Iran and the Czech Republic are increasing day by day, and Czech companies are very willing to cooperate with Iran.
