Junior freestylers to depart for Taiwan

TEHRAN, Jun. 13 (MNA) – Iran’s national junior freestyle team will leave Tehran for Taichung of Taiwan on Wednesday to contest in 2017 Junior Asian Championships.

Young freestyle wrestlers of Iran will compete at the Asian tournament to be hosted by Taichung city in Chinese Taipei from June 15-18, 2017.

Iran’s hopes are pinned on Ali Fatehi (50kg), Nader Nasri (55kg), Younes Emami (60kg), Amirhossein Hosseini (66kg), Mohammad Motaghinia (74kg), Ahmad Bazri (84kg), Danial Shariatzadeh (96kg) and Shayan Jalilzadeh (120).

The Iranian outfit will be accompanied by Taghi Akbarnejad as the head coach with Mahmoud Hassannia, Esmaeil Ploei and Hassan Tahmasebi as coaches.

Junior Asian Championships 2017 is scheduled to convene at National Taiwan University of Sport where freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers will strive for medals.
