Organized by the Georgian National Wrestling Federation, the tournament kicked off on June 10 in Tbilisi where five Iranian representatives met rivals in Greco-Roman and freestyle divisions while only three found a place on the podium.
Competing in 97-kilogram weight category, Iranian freestyler Mojtaba Galij overcame Georgian and Turkish rivals on road to the finals where he defeated another wrestler from Turkey standing on top of the podium.
Greco-Roman athletes of Iran, Mosayeb Akbari (59kg) and Amirhossein Hosseini (98kg) defeated their opponents in the repechage round and secured bronze medals.
Tbilisi Spots Palace is hosting wrestlers from across the world who will compete for medals in addition to diploma and prize money.
