3 Iranian films go to Hanoi Intl. filmfest.

TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) – Three Iranian films including ‘Immortality’ by Mehdi Fard Ghaderi and ‘Lantouri’ by Reza Dormishian will compete in the 2016 Hanoi International Film Festival, Vietnam.

Feature film ‘Immortality’ directed by Mehdi Fard Ghaderi, ‘Lantouri’ by Reza Dormishian, and ‘Drought and Lies’ by Pedram Alizadeh have been selected from Iran to compete in the Feature-length Films in World Panorama section of Hanoi International Film Festival.

‘Immortality’ is Fard Ghaderi's first feature movie that displays events occurring in a rainy night in the train. The film is the story of six different families on different wagons of a train, gradually unfolding to the audience.

‘Drought and Lies’ is an adaptation of a well-known Iranian play, while ‘Lantouri’ deals with a gang of extortionist/ thieves/blackmailers in Tehran.

The fourth edition of Hanoi International Film Festival will be held on 1-5 November, 2016, in the Vietnamese capital.
