Following the successful holding of two rounds of Greco-Roman World Wrestling Clubs Cup in Iran’s Arvand Free Zone, Chabahar has been selected as the venue for Freestyle version of the competitions in the year 2016.
The decision has been made with the aim of exploiting capacities of FTZs in development of wrestling as well as expanding the national sport to all parts of the country.
Given the global reception of World Wrestling Clubs Cup as well as the fact that the 2016 Greco-Roman edition will be hosted by Hungary, the Freestyle tournament is expected to enjoy massive presence of world clubs especially from powerful and eminent countries in the realm of wrestling.
Chabahar Free Trade–Industrial Zone (CFZ) was established in 1992 along with the two other free trade zones Qeshm and Kish Island to use global expertise (mostly from South East Asia) as a tool for the development of the country, accelerating the accomplishment of infrastructure, creation of employment, and representation in global markets.
