Iran, Kyrgyzstan sign 4 MoUs to boost economic coop.

BISHKEK, May 14 (MNA) – Iran and Kyrgyzstan inked four MoUs during the two countries' 11th joint commission’s meeting in Bishkek for enhancing economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

The memorandums of understanding were signed by Iranian Roads and Urban Development Minister Abbas Akhoundi and Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Transportation and Communication Zamierbek Aydarov in Bishkek on Saturday.

The agreements include an MoU on Iran-Kyrgyzstan joint commission meeting, formation of a joint investment council, fighting against money laundering, energy cooperation, 10-year term for economic cooperation, boosting trade exchange volume, exhibition cooperation, mutual encouragement and support for foreign investment, extra-territorial cultivation and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The Iranian minister also held separate meetings with Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev, deputy prime minister, and minister of Transport and Communications.

Iranian businessmen living in Kyrgyzstan also held a meeting with Minister Akhoundi and informed him of various challenges in exports of Iranian goods to the central Asian country.

The 10th Iran-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Commission’s Meeting was held in Tehran in 2011.
