First day of APA Tehran meeting sees 8 resolutions

TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – The first day of APA meeting in Tehran was concluded with passing 8 resolutions.

At the end of the first day of the meeting of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs, the assembly passed 8 resolutions.

The promotion of cultural diversity and perseveration of cultural heritage in Asia, cooperation in the area of information and communication technology, equality and justice in health system of Asia, were the title of the resolutions passed before noon.

The resolution for fighting corruption, the resolution of the special committee of female representatives, consultation for promoting dialogue between religions, cooperation on legislating anti-antique-smuggling, and coordinating efforts against drug trafficking were the resolutions passed in the afternoon.

About the resolution to protect and support immigrants, there were disagreements that led to leaving the resolution for the meeting on Wednesday.

Finally, at the closing of the first day meeting, the First Vice-Speaker of Iran's Parliament Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard invited all the attendants to a formal supper banquet in the venue of Iran’s Parliament in Baharestan neighborhood of Tehran in the evening.
