Iranian film to vie at Tripoli Film Festival

TEHRAN, Apr. 15 (MNA) – Kaveh Ebrahimpour’s feature film is to be screened in Beirut to compete with seven other features from Germany, Estonia, Mexico, Ireland, and Palestine.

80-minute feature film, Yahya didn’t keep quiet, directed by Iranian filmmaker Kaveh Ebrahimpour, is to vie at Tripoli Film Festival in Lebanese capital city of Beirut in April 20-27.

There are seven other feature films in the cultural event but Ebrahimpour’s work is one of the three debuted in 2015.

Produced in 2014, the film tells the story of a seven-year-old boy whose father leaves him with his aunt and he pays a heavy cost to find out about the mysteries of his aunt’s life.

Produced by Tina Pakravan, the film features one of the best performances of Iranian renowned actress Fatemeh Mo’tamed Aria.
