Intl. conf. pays tribute to Hazrat Fatima (AS)

RAWALPINDI, Mar. 30 (MNA) – Rich tribute were paid to Hazrat Fatima Zahra (AS) for her strong character, high moral values and nobility at a conference.

The 38th international conference was organized by Markazi Imam Hussain Council on the birth anniversary of the great personality of the Muslim Ummah.

Those who spoke on the occasion included Chairman Tehreek Naujawanan Pakistan Abdullah Hameed Gul, Chairman Saba Trust Sagheer Ahmed Aslam, Agha Murtaza Poya, Allama Mirza Yousaf Hussain, Allama Dr. Azmat Ullah Sultan and Ruqia Shah.

Chairman Markazi Imam Hussain Council Dr. Ghazanfar Mehdi said that Hazrat Fatima (AS) had a unique personality and helped the poor and needy beyond her capacity.

He said she enjoyed great honor in the eyes of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), who always became happy whenever he met her.

"We should follow the footsteps of the pious lady who led a life of piety and for the promotion of Islam," he added.

He said no one could succeed in life and the hereafter until he followed the Islamic teachings and personalities like her.

Abdullah Hameed Gul said that Fatima Zahra (AS) was a role model for all and there was need to follow her personality.

The other speakers highlighted the personality of Hazrat Fatima (AS).

The conference passed a resolution denouncing terrorist activities and extremism and prayed for peace in the country.
