'Oblivion Season' to vie at American filmfest.

TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) – 'Oblivion Season' will be displayed at Queens International Film Festival in New York.

Oblivion Season, directed and produced by Abbas Rafei, will take part at Queens International Film Festival which is to be held on March 15-20, 2016 at New York Museum of Performing Art.

The film narrates the story of a struggling but strong-spirited woman who, against all prejudices, tries to assert herself against working women and also against the hostility and contempt of the family of her husband.

The movie so far has won many awards at a number of reliable festivals such as New Jersey, New York, Universal, Romania, Melbourne, Kerala, Jaipur, Italy, Asiatica, Buffalo, and Herat and so on.

“It is a pleasure for me to see Iranian film to be selected amongst 570 film from 50 different countries participating at the festival,” reiterated Hal Hartley, the founder of the festival.
