Iranian karate champion holds training class for Indians

TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (MNA) – Member of Iran’s national karate team has left for India to lead a training course in New Delhi.

Iran’s Amir Mehdizadeh has travelled to India at the official invitation of the Asian country’s Karate Federation to participate in a 2-day combat training class.

Mehdizadeh is scheduled to teach Hindi karate practitioners and couches several skills on fighting strategies, point earning tactics as well as combat management.

The Iranian athlete will return to Tehran on Monday in order to accompany the national karate team in attending France’s Karate 1 Premier League - Paris 2016.

Amir Mehdizadeh has so far earned numerous medals at international events including one gold and one bronze in world championships, two gold medals and one bronze at Asian events as well as 2 gold medals and one silver from Karate 1 tournaments.
