Canada's election reflects public will to avoid extremism

TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday that results of general election in Canada indicated that Canadian people are against radical policies of the conservative government.

With their vote, Marzieh Afkham said, the Canadian people call on the government to refrain from radical policies and elect desirable members of parliament.

She reiterated that Iran respect vote and choice of Canadians.

Canada's Liberal Party has decisively won a general election on Tuesday, ending nearly a decade of Conservative rule, BBC reported.

The centrist Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau, started the campaign in third place but in a stunning turnaround now command a majority.

Trudeau said Canadians had voted for real change.
