Leader’s office rejects its members acted 'independently' regarding JCPOA

TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran has discredited speculations made by some sources that any members of his office had any independent role from office in JCPOA approval in the Parliament on Sunday.

The official statement came only after reports and stories on the news outlets about possible role of Leader’s office members or individuals affiliated with the office. The statement roundly rejected the speculations, emphasizing that Leader’s official positions about the necessity of a ‘legal procedure of examining the JCPOA’ in the Parliament have been mentioned in his several addresses within past months.

“Such reports which speculate or suggest any independent role for individuals or bodies associated with the Leader’s office are inaccurate and have no authenticity; even in his official statement dated September 1, 2015, Leader’s official positions had been clearly communicated to the public and authorities; any report which lends credit to possible independent role played by the Leader’s office members in approval of JCPOA in the Parliament is baseless and all news media and news website activists should practice necessary care in quoting Leader’s remarks to avoid inconvenience,” said the statement.
