Attending a gathering of aviation industry managers, Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan stated that, “currently we are at an excellent and promising situation in aerospace industry enjoying appropriate human resources and knowledge and valuable infrastructure as well as good relations and communication with external networks.”
Emphasizing the domestic capabilities and features, Dehghan asserted that, “we need to admit that facilities have improved significantly compared to 30 years ago and therefore the country’s defense industry officials can find a reliable path for progress by believing in our capabilities.”
Noting that in the past, the Ministry of Defense has mainly focused on repairing devices and had less attention to the production and design, Dehghan added that, “after the sanctions were imposed against Iran by enemies, we turned to producing domestic components and with the perseverance of our youth we managed to design and manufacture the required equipment including guided drones and a variety of fighter helicopters which is an extraordinary achievement.”
Underlining that at the moment we are experiencing new conditions at national and international levels, the Defense Minister concluded that, “we have tried to turn sanctions into an opportunity and make ourselves self-sufficient and by following a clear and strategy we will be able to have a global brand in producing all kinds of aircrafts.”
