Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, who was speaking in an interview with correspondent of the Center of Supervision on Mosques Affairs, said that “Saudis at least were responsible with distributing water bottles to the injured; even no helicopter were sent to shed water on their bodies in order to protect them against the dangerous heat of the sun in the Mina. Hundreds of people are killed in such a condition that there had not been any bomb explosion or any other causes of all-encompassing death. They died gradually. Saudi security forces and police had enough time to save the injured pilgrims; however, they evaded responsibility; rather, they left the injured people to be died slowly.”
“It was not for the first time that such events actually took tolls during Mina rites; this ceremony goes backs to hundred years ago. But it could not have been worst. Surely, closing the tight street caused the incident. Those people who had been in Mina know this matter very well that for happening such a bitter event, just it suffices to blockade one of the entrances to Mina,” Ayatollah Araki continued.
