Iran’s Zarin Madan gained an emphatic victory by defeating Afghanistan 21-0 at the 10th Asian Water Polo Clubs Championship.
Iran’s second representative, Naft Omidieh, lost to Kazakhstan’s Astana on late Monday. It lost to its rival 24-6.
The competition is underway at the International Swimming Pool of Shiroudi Sport Complex in Tehran with a total of eight teams taking part in the competitions.
Naft Omidieh and Zarin Madan are Iran’s representatives in the tournament and will compete agaisnt Saudi Arabian Al-Qadisiyah al-Khobar and Kuwait’s Al-Qadisiyah, respectively.
