“The film is about the spiritual bond of an Iranian young adult, a jury member of the festival who has lost her mother, with one of the female organizers who has no child,” said the director.
Shah-Hatami who is participating in the 33rd Giffoni International Film Festival for Children and Young People (July 19-26), added that the film is a joint production of Iran and Italy.
There are 69 film entries in the festival from across the globe to be judged by thousands of young adults.
Majidi’s “Baran” will also be screened in the Non-Competition Section of the festival.
