Toofan 2 is equipped by attacking capabilities, precise targeting, digital firing control and night vision, and central smart arms management system.
Brigadier General Ahmed Vahidi told reporters in the unveiling ceremony that the helicopter was equipped with 11 advanced systems, and that it has been developed according to the latest universal quality standards.
He also pointed to Iranian progress in air industries and said that currently, “Iran is one of first 10 countries with design and development capabilities in air industry.”
“Toofan 2 helicopter is a product of domestic knowledge of Ministry of Defense associated industries in electronics, optics, LASER, and arms,” he said.
Brigadier General Vahidi also believed that the production of the helicopter has been in line with the Supreme Leader’s measures and guidelines, saying that “Toofan 2 is a symbol of self-reliance, innovation, and neutralization of enemy sanctions.”
He provided comments on the fighting capabilities of Toofan 2 and said that the helicopter is capable of strategic defense and that it has been equipped with rocket-launching digital control system and multi-display monitor.
