In a report by the Public Relations Office of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization,
“The spread of the Haft Seen (seven items beginning with Persian letter ‘seen’) put on a tablecloth at the beginning of New Year, little red fish, a mirror, a candle, flowers, Iranian cookies, as well as the Holy Qur’an were the items on display at Iran’s stand,” added Seyyed Mohammadreza Darbandi. Each country also had 4-minutes to explain its New Year ceremony, he added.
Visitors were also offered a brochure printed in Greek describing different Iranian ceremonies in preparation for the New Year, as well as posters of ancient sites in
Iran, Italy, Spain, Japan, Portugal, Venezuela, Bulgaria, Poland, Cyprus, Ukraine, and Ethiopia were among the countries participating in the exhibition.
