Kuwaiti newspaper praises Iranian series “Prophet Joseph”

TEHRAN, March 4 (MNA) -- The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Dar considers the Iranian TV series “Prophet Joseph” a successful historical TV series that features one of the most beautiful Quranic stories.

Directed by Farajollah Salahshur, the 45-episode series focuses on the life of the Prophet Joseph (AS) from his childhood to adulthood.

 

The film which is currently broadcast by IRIB channel 1 and Al-Kawsar satellite network has been warmly received by Iranian as well as Arab audiences.

 

 

Iran to hold conference on Ghazali in Spain

 

TEHRAN -- Iran’s cultural attaché in Madrid will hold a conference on the Iranian scholar Muhammad Ghazali, on March 13.

 

The conference will be held on the 950th anniversary of his birth and aims to boost cultural exchange between Iran and Spain.

 

Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali (1058-1111) was an Islamic theologian, jurist, philosopher, cosmologist, psychologist and mystic of Persian origin. He remains one of the most celebrated scholars in the history of Sunni Islamic thought.

 

 

Tbilisi to host Iranian cultural week

 

TEHRAN -- Iran’s cultural attaché in Georgia will hold Iranian culture week from March 8 to 15 in Tbilisi.

 

Several Iranian films including “Night Bus” by Kiumars Purahmad, “Each Night of Solitude” by Rasul Sadr-Ameli and Dariush Mehrjuii’s “Mom’s Guest” will be shown during the event.

 

Iranian handicrafts and photos of Iran’s tourist attractions will also go on display during Iran culture week in Georgia.
