The showcase was held from November 2007 to January 2008 and featured 150 illustrations by 50 artists from 15 countries.
Iranian illustrators from the Shabaviz Publishing Company, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults Publications and some freelance artists took part in the event.
Atieh Bozorg Sohrabi, Neda Azimi, Azadeh Madani, Alireza Golduzian, Ali Namvar, Sahar Haqgu, Rashin Kheirieh, Saeid Ensafi and Shahruz Sadr are amongst the Iranian artists whose works were displayed, most of whom have been previously awarded at international illustration contests.
The Iranian artworks displayed at the exhibit will be published in a special catalogue entitled “One Thousand and One Nights” which will be released next month.
