Israeli regime tries to hide casualties after Iran strikes

TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – A senior military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution says that at least 16 Israeli pilots were killed in Iranian missile strikes in the June war, stressing the regime tries to prevent revelations of casualties.

Speaking in holy city of Qom on Monday in a ceremony to commemorate the Sacred Defense against the former Baathist regime of Saddam, General Seyyed Rahim Safavi said that "Iraq had hired French pilots and bombed Iranian cities. France also invested billions of dollars in Iraq, and even Iranian chemical casualties were tested in German hospitals to provide the enemy with accurate information on the effects of chemical weapons."

"Meanwhile, Russia only supported Iran politically and did not provide any military assistance, as the presence of the Jewish population in Israel affected Moscow's positions," he said.

Major General Safavi then referred to the recent 12-day battle against the Zionist regime of Israel, saying that, "the United States and Israel failed in this war, just as they did not achieve their goals in the imposed war (Iraqi imposed war on Iran). Meanwhile, China, despite its extensive relations with the US and Israel, supported Iran and the Axis of Resistance in its political positions, while the European Union adopted a stance against Iran."

He clarified that "Israel sought to continue the war, but eventually faced a strategic defeat and was forced to request a ceasefire through the US; an action that showed the powerlessness of this regime against the capabilities of the Axis of Resistance."

Stating that more than 500 missiles were fired at the occupied territories (Israeli regime) in the war, he added that "these attacks caused extensive damage to Israeli facilities in Haifa and other areas, and the regime's refineries, power plants and research centers were targeted."

The senior military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution continued that "during the missile attacks on the Zionist regime's pilot training center, at least 16 Israeli pilots were killed, yet the occupying regime is preventing the revelation of details of the damages and casualties it suffered in the 12-day war."
