In his speech," Qassem commended the large turnout at the first commemoration marking the martyrdom anniversary of former Secretaries General Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Safieddine.
"Your body departed this world, yet your soul continues to inspire—once a leader, now a guide for leaders," the Hezbollah leader further said.
"You carried the banner of resistance and planted the love of Palestine in our hearts — a seed that grew into a steadfast, defiant resistance and opened the era of victories," he further addressed Martyr Nasrallah.
"I worked with Martyr Nasrallah for three decades, and now I say we are keeping our promise.," Qassem said, adding that "We have stepped on and will continue to step in your path after your departure; your path will continue."
"We have stuck to our promise and are ready to be martyred. We will not leave the battlefield and we will not lay down our weapons," he said.
Qassem later said the Hezbollah fighters fought a large war against Israel, its many allies last year, adding that "Hezbollah recovered quickly after Israeli attacks last year, forcing regime to stop war."
He continued to say that "Israel launched a world war against resistance last year with no limitation."
The Lebanese Resistance Leader also said "the US is trying to achieve what Israel couldn't through push for resistance disarmament."
Qassem concluded by saying that, "Disarming resistance means stripping Lebanon of power and handing Israel victory."
