Condemning the Israeli aggression, Kan'ani considered this attack by the Zionist regime to be a clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and a flagrant violation of international laws and regulations and the United Nations Charter.
The vicious and criminal action of the Zionist criminal gang in the suburbs of Beirut certainly cannot stop the zealous Lebanese Resistance and nation from continuing the honorable path of supporting the oppressed Palestinians and standing against the aggression of the Israeli apartheid regime, he added.
Emphasizing the legitimate right of the Lebanese government, army, and Resistance to respond to the aggressive actions of the usurping Zionist regime, Kan'ani blamed the fake regime of Israel and the US government for the expansion of tension and crisis in the region.
He also called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to act immediately to fulfill their responsibility towards the Israeli regime's threats against Lebanon's security and regional and international peace and stability.
The spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of this aggressive attack and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured, and expressed his sympathy and solidarity with the Lebanese government and nation.
Local sources in Lebanon reported that several people were killed and injured following an attack conducted by the regime of Tel Aviv on Beirut on Tuesday night.
Lebanese media sources announced that 2 people were martyred and several others were injured following the Zionists' attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Buildings and vehicles at the scene of the attack were also severely damaged, the reports added.
The official Lebanese news agency reported that the Israeli attack was carried out by a drone and 3 missiles.
