Several explosions reported near Syria's Baniyas

TEHRAN, Jul. 09 (MNA) – Local sources in Syria reported that several suspicious explosions were heard near the coastal city of Baniyas early on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in the Arab al-Mulk region in the province of Tartus.

A fire broke out in that region fire following the blasts, according to the reports.

The cause of the incident is not known yet.

Baniyas is a Mediterranean coastal city in Tartous Governorate, northwestern Syria.
