Hamid Nouri transferred from cell to security suit

TEHRAN, Apr. 09 (MNA) – Hamid Nouri, a former Iranian judiciary official who has been illegally incarcerated in Sweden, has been transferred from a cell to a suit in a security region.

Majid Nouri, Hamid Nouri's son, said that according to the notes that his father gave to the Iranian embassy, he is no longer in a cell and has been transferred to a suite in a security area.

These suites are called security prisons, he added.

Saying that three other people are present along with Nouri in the suit, his son quoted him as saying that more facilities have been provided to them in the suit compared to the cell.

Nouri was arrested upon arrival at the Stockholm Airport in November 2019 and was immediately imprisoned on bogus charges.

He has been held in solitary confinement for over two years. Swedish prosecutors have requested the maximum penalty of life imprisonment for the former Iranian judiciary official, falsely accusing him of prisoner abuse in the 1980s.

The charges against Nouri stem from accusations leveled against him by members of the terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO).
